This page explains what information TakeMyShift and the PickUp app collect, how we use it, and the choices you have. TakeMyShift is operated by Ultimate Advancement of Knowledge (UAOK), a nonprofit organization.
When you create an account in the PickUp app, we collect:
We use this information only to run the app: showing your trades to your base, delivering your messages, and sending the text and email notifications you ask for. We do not sell your personal information.
If you choose to receive text alerts, you give your consent directly to Ultimate Advancement of Knowledge (UAOK), the operator of PickUp. You opt in inside the app by entering your mobile number and checking the text-message consent box under Notifications (see how opt-in works). We use your mobile number only to send the PickUp alerts you asked for: shift trades, buddy bid matches, giveaways, and crew chat activity.
We use trusted outside services to store data and deliver notifications, including Supabase (sign-in), Convex (app data), Twilio (text messages), and Resend (email). They process your information only to provide those services to us. Your mobile number and text-message consent are never shared for marketing (see Text messages above).
This website and the PickUp web app show ads provided by Google AdSense. Cookies are small files your browser stores. Google and its partners use them to show you ads based on your past visits to this site and to other sites.
If you visit from the European Economic Area, the UK, or Switzerland, we will ask for your consent before any personalized ads are shown.
TakeMyShift and the PickUp app are built for working airline crew. They are not meant for children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect information from children.
You can update your profile at any time from the Account screen in the app. To delete your account and its data, email us and we will take care of it.
If we change this policy, we will update the date at the top of this page.
